We provide solutions for eliminating the risks of sourcing food ingredients from suppliers in emerging countries. During the past 30 years, consumer expectations have become increasingly more sophisticated. In today’s global market, consumers are primarily interested in innovative products, exotic ingredients, customized services and competitive prices.

 

In order to achieve this delicate balance, the food industry needs to be innovative and have excellent sourcing capabilities in place. Many key food ingredients are produced in emerging countries where the supply chain is still nascent, and the concept of ‘first prime’ products without production losses has not yet been fully integrated into the local culture. Consequently, managing the reliability of supply and ensuring consistent quality are challenging and daunting tasks.

 

 

New Supplier Development

 

RF Solutions was established in 2009 at a time when a great demand for soya derivatives, in particular for Non GMO lecithin was already apparent on the international market, especially in Europe. In its search for a supplier to cater for this demand, RF Solutions earmarked India as a prime candidate for supplying non-GMO soya derivatives. Over the past two years, we have further consolidated our share of the market, not only in Europe, but also further afield in countries such as Japan, Korea, Thailand, Russia, Turkey, and in the Middle East. Introducing the Ruchithin soya lecithin from the company Ruchi Soya Industries Ltd. onto the market gave our customers access to a new, safe, and reliable source of Non GMO product. 

 

 

Supply Chain

 

When setting up a successful supply chain from India to Europe, RF Solutions needed to take account of the cultural differences between an emerging country on the other side of the world and its European trading partner. Consequently, the business model we adopted is not only limited to marketing and trading, it is also geared to fully understanding the market and underlying business mentality. We therefore decided to deploy a new business development and market analysis team that is flexible and can quickly adapt to the customers’ specific needs. By implementing this strategy, RF Solutions thus provides added value by removing the risk factor from the supply chain when supplying high-quality products at a competitive price to its customers. Sharing information with our established partners enables us to more effectively plan and implement so that we can fully benefit from the opportunities that arise. This further enhances our expertise in conducting global business and makes us a reliable and sustainable partner for manufacturers all over the world.

 

 

Quality Assurance

 

RF Solution’s quality assurance team in Europe works in parallel with the quality assurance team in India. The quality of the products must obviously be checked before they leave India since there is no way to send the products back after they have arrived in Europe.  Moreover, stringent quality control checks performed in India enable us to detect whether the product is GMO or non-GMO so that the identity of the product can be ascertained before it even reaches the factory. Our ISO 22000-certified quality assurance system gives us full control at every stage of the entire supply chain, thus enabling us to guarantee optimal quality and to also quickly detect any shortcomings. We do this by merging the best practices of the western world with the local resources in order to attain the highest possible level of skills and competence, and at the same time, further enhance our unique knowledge of the local market.
